Obituary
Vance F. Garner of Lompoc passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the age of 82.
Mr. Garner was Born January 24, 1925 to Claude and Neva (Dafford) Garner in Amity, Arkansas. He moved to Lompoc in l963 coming from Carlsbad, New Mexico. Vance worked for over 29 years for Safeway stores. He enjoyed fishing.
Vance is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pauline Garner of Lompoc; a son Bruce Garner of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Lottie Jane Petifer of Amity, Arkansas; and one granddaughter, Brittney Ann Garner.
A visitation will be held Sunday March 25, from 2 to 4:00 p.m. at the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 26, at 1:00 p.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor Virgil Mooring and Pastor Walter Petree, III of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Lompoc will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
