Victor Joaquin "VJ" Lizama passed away on October 25th, 2024 in Lompoc, California. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on March 28, 1964. VJ moved to Lompoc with his family in 1971 and graduated from Lompoc High School in 1982.

For the past 30 years he worked in the building industry in Santa Barbara, selling first with Hayward Lumber for 15 years and then Builders First Source for the last 15 years.

In his free time he loved to laugh and tell stories over barbecue with his friends, find vintage collectibles at estate sales, and go to the beach to fish with his family. But there was nothing he loved more than being the best Popop to his granddaughters.

VJ is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Lydia Lizama and his brother Victor Jose. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, family and friends.

The viewing service will be held at Starbuck Lind Mortuary on Wednesday, November 6th from 4-8 PM. The funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Thursday, November 7th at La Purisma Catholic Church.
