Vincent Arnold Nelsen passed away on August 5, 2018, in Lompoc, California.  He was born on August 12, 1933, in Vespa, Redwood, Minnesota.  He moved to Lompoc in 1985 with his wife Betty Lois (Colton) Nelsen and their two children Jo-Lynn Nelsen and James William Nelsen.  He served in the United States Army in Germany.

Vincent worked as a mechanic most of his life – first working for the Auto Club as a tow driver in the Burbank area prior to moving to Lompoc.  He then worked at Toyota of Lompoc as a mechanic for many years before he retired.

Vincent is survived by his daughter Jo-Lynn Nelsen, Lompoc; son James William Nelsen, California, brother Harold Nelsen of Worthington, Minnesota; sister Kathleen Waters, Iowa; his companion, friend, and caregiver of 18 years Susan Marsh, Lompoc; and niece Brenda K. Baldwin, Huntington Beach, California.  Vincent was preceded in death by his brother Norman, Minnesota, sister Mary Goblisch, and sister and brother-in-law Mary Lou and Kay Baldwin of Burbank, California.

There are no services planned, and burial will be at a later date at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery where he will be laid next to his wife Betty Lois (Colton) Nelsen, who preceded him in death.
