1916 – 2008
Viola C. Percival of Lompoc died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at the age of 91.
Viola was born November 24, 1916 to Charlie and Mildred Scoby in Dale, Michigan. Formerly of Dayton, Ohio, she has been a resident of Lompoc since1959. Viola attended the First United Methodist Church in Lompoc. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, basket weaving and gardening.
Viola was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wilson Percival in 2005. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Edwards and her husband Ross of Quincy, Massachusetts, and Mary Smith and her husband Terry of Lompoc, her step-daughter Susan Speers and her husband Robert of Franklin, Massachusetts, her brother Gerald Scoby of Gladwin, Michigan, and three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister Margaret and her brothers Norman and John.
The graveside funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 19, at 2:30 p.m. in the pavilion of the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. The arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
