Obituary
Virginia Reyes Amaya of Lompoc died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at the age of 70.
Virginia was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on August 28, 1944 to Jose and Ana Maria Amaya. After completing her education in Mexico she came to the United States in the 1970s. A resident of Lompoc since 1987, she was employed as a housekeeper and nanny. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting.
Virginia is survived by her daughters Estela and Rosa Amaya, both of Lompoc, her son and daughter-in-law Jorge and Noemi Amaya of Lompoc, three grandchildren, a brother and three sisters.
The Visitation will be on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 4 to 8pm, with the recitation of the rosary at 6 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The mass of Christian burial will be Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
