In loving memory of Virginia Ann Dover, August 14, 1929 – September 27, 2016
Virginia Ann Dover was born on August 14, 1929, in Santa Barbara to John and Charlotte Seymour. She graduated from Bishop Diego Catholic High School in 1947. After high school, Virginia met and married Bernard Dover on August 7, 1949. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.
Virginia worked for Security Pacific Bank for over 28 years. Upon retiring, she served as an active volunteer in the Lompoc community for the American Cancer Society, the Lompoc Grange, and the Lompoc Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the American Daughters of the Golden West. Virginia enjoyed crafting, gardening, picnics, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Bernard Dover; daughter, Carol Tennant (Dave); granddaughters, Jenny Honafius (Damien) and Markie Wordley (Aaron); grandson, Matthew Trester; great- granddaughter, Danica Honafius and great-grandbaby Wordley to come; sisters, Geraldine Franzen and Barbara Stauch; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Trester Smith; grandson, William Trester; and sister, Ceclia Beraldo.
Services for Virginia will be held on Tuesday, October 4 at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church. A celebration of life will follow the service at 204 North 6th Street.
