Virginia Lee Pengilly July 22, 1938 - July 31, 2024

Virginia, 60-year resident of Lompoc, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, July 31. Virginia was born in St. Louis, MO, the oldest of 6 children. She was mother to 4 children, who cared for her, especially in her final days on earth.

She excelled in the work world as a manager of a clothing store (Remars), secretary with the Moose Lodge, and varied other positions where she was a vital member of their staff. She volunteered for many years with the Lompoc Flower Festival and served one year as the "Queen Mom" for the Flower Festival Court. Her faith in the Lord grew more in her recent years, and she loved attending church until she was unable to attend for health reasons.

Virginia is survived by her two brothers, George and Paul Jones of St Louis, her daughters Diane Droste, Donna Simnick, Lisa Pengilly, and son, David Droste. She suffered much in these past years, but always demonstrated resilience and love for her family and friends.

She will be missed dearly, but her family is so grateful to know that she is experiencing perfect peace and health in the presence of Jesus.
