Obituary
Vivian Gladys Meeks, 90, passed away on March 28, 2011 while in residence at the
Lompoc Convalescent Care Center. She was born in April 1920 to Richard and Emma
Jensen and raised on the family farm in Tyler, Minnesota.
Vivian married Joseph Vernon Meeks on September 29, 1945, and they settled in Lompoc with their four children in 1963. She was a devote member of Bethany Lutheran Church and active in the Bethany Ladies Guild for many years.
Vivian is survived by her three daughters; Marjorie Meeks and Mavis Mitchell both of
Lompoc, and JoAnn Meeks Stanfield of Arroyo Grande; three grandchildren; Michael
Mitchell of Lompoc, Jennifer Meeks Santiago of Duluth Georgia, and Jeremiah Meeks of
Portland Oregon; and three great grandchildren Hallie Mitchell of Lompoc, Sarah
Santiago and Nadia Santiago of Duluth Georgia.
Her husband, son James Meeks and siblings Richard Jensen and Mildred Nelson preceded Vivian in death.
