Obituary

Vonnie Martinet was born August 3, 1946 in Garden City, Kansas to Orville E Harsh and Evelyn L. Jenkins.  She entered eternal rest on March 19, 2018 after a three-year battle with cancer.

Vonnie retired from merchandising at the VAFB commissary in 2012.  In her spare time, Vonnie was an avid bowler, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1036 and Wagon Master of the Moose # 1036 Camping Club.  Vonnie also enjoyed playing bingo and loved to travel.

Vonnie was preceded in death by her father Orville Harsh of Oklahoma, her mother and step father Evelyn L. and Jay L Stiles both of Lompoc, and her sister Janet Speer of Lompoc.  She is survived by her son Darold A. Miller Jr of Spokane, Washington, her daughter Denise Waters of Lompoc, four grandchildren, Darold A. Miller III, Anne Marie Miller, both of Spokane, Washington, Cory Waters and Zachery Waters from Mt Vernon, Indiana, her sister Elberta Askew of Idaho along with several nieces and nephews around the United States.

Graveside services will be on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery at 10 am.  A Celebration of her life will be held at 11 am at the Events Mission Valley, 138 North B Street, Lompoc.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
