Wanda Stromberg passed away peacefully on March 21, 2012, at 94 years of age. She was born on January 6, 1918, in Washington, DC. Wanda was the daughter of Charles Simpson Shreve and Adrienne Augusta Louisa Maria Francisca von Ezdorf Shreve of Washington, DC. Her grandfather, who was an Austrian Count, was the chief architect of the interior of the old State, War and Navy Building in Washington, DC (now named the Eisenhower Executive Office Building).
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Marvin Stromberg. Her surviving family include: (son) Eric Stromberg (Sandra) of Dallas, TX; (son) Leif Stromberg (Linda) of Dallas, TX; (daughter) Ingrid Stromberg (Wayne Harris) of Lompoc, CA; (grandson) Rick Stromberg (Nancy) of Dallas, TX; (grandson) Scott Stromberg of St. Paul, MN. Wanda loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, golf, bridge, square dancing, gardening, and, taking meticulous care of her family.
All of Wanda's family and friends will deeply miss her. The Stromberg family wishes to sincerely thank Debra McIntosh and Sue Reish who so lovingly cared for her. At Wanda's request, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral services held.
