Wayne Westley Hale
Wayne was born September 24, 1950 to Amos and Letha Hale. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 5th. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, James Hale.
Our Dad was a creature of habit and very particular. Almost every day for the last thirty years on his way home from his job as a Fuel Tech for United Paradyne, he would stop by the store for a pack of Camel non-filters, Cattaneo Bros. beef jerky, and a Photo Ad.
In his prime, his good looks, rebel personality and stubborn attitude led him on numerous adventures that he loved to talk about. Some of his favorite stories were about partying on the oil rigs, sinking a boat or two near the Channel Islands, and watching his brothers band play. He always said, "life's about making memories", even if that meant getting into a little trouble.
He appreciated the simple life. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, watching Nascar on Sundays, going to air shows, driving his tractors and working on motorcycles. He even spent a few years building a flat tracker from scratch.
He is survived by his best friend, Mary Jacobs, his father, Amos Hale, sister, Linda Hale, brothers, Bob and Larry Hale, daughters, Katie Hale and Christina Brockett, and grandsons, Boss and Beau.
Due to his love for his dogs, in lieu of flowers we ask that donations in his name be made to La Purisima Animal Welfare Services.
A celebration of life and fishing trip to scatter his ashes are being planned for early next year. Details will be announced at a later date.
Thank you dad for so many amazing memories, unique experiences and for your honesty and generosity. We will miss your powerful laugh and huge smile. Love you.
