William L. (Bill) Clingingsmith

Bill Clingingsmith passed away in Lompoc California on October 22, 2021, at the age of 89

He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Alice Clingingsmith of Ventura, California; his sister Bett McGhee of Kennett, Missouri; and his nephew Michael Clingingsmith of Winnipeg, Canada.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Darcia Clingingsmith in Winnipeg, Canada, nephew Dr. David Clingingsmith in Cleveland, Ohio, and nephews Robert, William, and James McGhee in the state of Missouri.

Bill was born April 28, 1932, in Malden, Missouri; completed high school in Tucson, Arizona; attended California Polytechnic State University; and lived and worked most of his life on Lompoc. California. He was a founding member of the Grace Baptist Church of Lompoc.

Our gratitude and thanks to Pastor David Pauley and the congregation of Grace Baptist Church for a lifetime of love and support. Our thanks also to the staff at Fountain Square of Lompoc where Bill has lived for the past 3 years.

Cremation has taken place and his ashes have been scattered at sea.

Well done Bill. Rest in peace.
