Billy's life began in San Diego, California, and came to a close on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 64 years old in Lompoc, California.  His family and friends were by his side when he began the journey to the next place to join his father William, mother Joyce, sister Kim and all his beloved dogs.

He is survived by his sister, Terri Brickey, nephew Brandon Brickey (Elizabeth) nieces Krysani Brickey, Jena Lundy, and Riana Lundy. Great nephews and nieces Joseph, Brandon Jr, William, Ritchie, Ayden, Mariah, Laila, Arriah, Anaiya and Ava.

In his earlier times, Billy was an avid gardener.  He was an excellent cook, baker, and bartender who enjoyed preparing food for his family and friends.  He loved arts and crafts and had a strange sense of humor.  He loved dogs and had a number of various pets throughout his life, including a crow and an emu that he rescued and nursed back to health.

Billy moved to Lompoc in 1962 with his sisters and parents.  He moved to Hawaii after high school and lived in Alaska, Virginia, and Fremont, California.  He loved to travel and visited many states and countries during his younger years.  Later on, he really liked visiting the casino and did especially well on the Keno machine.  Billy enjoyed watching reality television with his friends.  He was cordial to most people and had a supportive group of close friends.  He loved retail and thrift shops and always found a discount wherever he shopped.  He was grateful for all his friends and caretakers over the years especially Cody, Christa, George, and Michael.  Also, the wonderful staff at the Lompoc Artificial Kidney Center that treated him so well.

There will be a graveside service at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 2 pm. with a potluck reception at his home following the service.  Due to Covid, please wear a mask.
