William "Billy" Jefferson, Jr. of Lompoc died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the age of 47.
Billy was born May 24, 1961, in Tacoma, Washington. His family moved to Lompoc when he was still very young. He attended local schools and graduated from Maple High School in 1981. Trained as a roofer, Billy worked in Orange County for many years, returning recently to work for A To Z Roofing in Lompoc. He also worked with the kitchen staff at the Elk's Lodge in Lompoc.
Billy loved to fish and read his Bible. He was a fan of all sports but especially enjoyed wrestling and basketball.
Billy is survived by his mother and stepfather Kathy and Robert Pogue of Lompoc, his sister Michele Keener of Lompoc, two nephews Scott Keener, Jr. and Dylan Dodson both of Lompoc, and many relatives and friends, too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held at the Lompoc Foursquare Church, 125 North C St., at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
In lieu of flowers his family requests memorial donations be made to Lompoc Foursquare Church, 125 North C Street, or a charity of your choice.
