Obituary
William Gene Kenworthy of Lompoc died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the age of 93.
Gene was born in Kansas to Nyle and Leta Kenworthy on January 9, 1923. While serving in the United States Air Force he was transferred from McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas to Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1964. After his retirement he worked for Martin Marietta. He retired a second time in 1988.
Gene was a member of the Village Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his wife Maud "Ann" Kenworthy, his niece Lynda Jean Kenworthy and nephew Roger Dean Kenworthy. He was preceded in death by one brother.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 3:30 pm at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Vandenberg Air Force Honor Guard.
