William (Bill) Kinman passed away in Santa Barbara, California, after a brief illness on July 9, 2014.
Bill was born in Newport, Kentucky on July 17, 1931. After attending Newport High School, he began his military career in the United States Army in Germany, where he met his wife of 60 years. After serving in the Army, he reenlisted in the United States Air Force. He retired from the military after a 22 year career. Upon retirement from the service, Bill was employed with the Social Security Administration. He retired after 30 years of civil service. Bill enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Kinman; daughters Terri Moore, Linda Nowland and Jacqueline Williams; sons Bill Kinman and Scott Kinman. He is also survived by his sister Gladys Oleson. Bill had 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father William and mother Josephine Kinman; sisters Helen Wolfe; Mary Jo Peters and Shirley Redden; brothers Bud Kinman and Bob Kinman.
A memorial service will be held at Queen of Angels Catholic Church on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 am.
