"Bill", William L. Gregory, 81, a sixty year resident of Lompoc, peacefully went to be with his Lord, March 8, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born in Porter Oklahoma, the son of the late Ben and Maudie Blalock Gregory. Bill was a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bill was a long time member of The First Assembly of God Church, now known as New Hope Christian Church. Bill retired from Johns Manville (Celite) after 44 years of dedicated service, and many wonderful years maintaining equipment at Lompoc Tortilla Shop.

Bill was a faithful Dodger and Laker fan. Bill was a loving, kind and giving man. A family man at heart, Bill was head cheerleader, for his grand and great grand children's sports events. Bill spent much time singing, playing and writing music as well as watching his favorite western movies and listening to "country music".

Bill, is survived by his loving wife, Freda of sixty one years, five children, Janice Landthaler, Billy Joe Gregory, Kenneth Gregory (Marsha), Darryl Gregory, (Annette), Cheryl Jordan Holland, (Dale), 17 grandchildren and 5 beautiful great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at Starbuck – Lind Mortuary on March 22, 2012 5:00PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 AM March 23, 2012 at New Hope Christian Church by Rev. Darrin Hunt , 213 N. "J" St. Lompoc, Ca.

In Lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations be made to the New Hope Christian Church Food Pantry.
