William T. Morrill, Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, June 3, 2019. He was 72 years old. William was born in Meredith, New Hampshire on December 15, 1946. He enlisted in the Air Force and he moved to Vandenberg AFB in 1980. William served his country until his retirement as an Air Force Msgt in 1989 and remained in Lompoc until his death.

In life, the activities he enjoyed most were reading and spending time with his family.  He had a vast book collection that may have rivaled that of the Library of Congress.  His wife has generously passed those books to his daughter, Margaret, although she will happily share with anyone interested.  His collection of elephant figurines was also legendary and will be distributed amongst his loved ones who were the primary contributors to the collection in the first place. William was best known for his intellect, his temper, a colorful vocabulary, his ever-full candy jars, and a bountiful kitchen table overflowing with a variety of delicious snacks.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Morrill, and father, William T Morrill Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Carolyn Morrill, his daughters, Margaret Drew, Nilah Knight, Hadisha Person, his grandchildren, Dylan Drew, Colin Drew, Nakia Knight, LeAndrew Knight, Monique Person, Raelyn Person, his great-grandchildren, Niyah Garrett, Jeremiah Knight, all of Lompoc, his children, William T Morrill III, Kanmei Morrill, his grandchildren, Marc-Christoffer Owens Jr, Kordell Wooten, Alexia Wooten, all of Las Vegas, his grandson, Michael Morrill of Los Osos and his brothers Alan Morrill and Tim Morrill of N.H.  At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are directed by Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
