Bill Tyrrell transferred from the Southern California Gas Company in Los Angeles to Lompoc in 1985 to provide for his family. He found "the better life" in Lompoc, which became his true home-town. He retired after 35 years with the Gas Company.
Bill was known by family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and self-owned business clients as a good, honest, self-made man of many talents and trades who always "aimed to protect all he loved" and lived his life full-heartedly.
In honor of Bill Tyrrell, a graveside military service will be held on Friday, April 7th at 3 pm at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8th at Lompoc's Embassy Suites starting at 3 pm thru a hosted dinner evening. Bill's children; Brett and Lauren Tyrrell, Rachelle (Tyrrell) and Kevin Williams, and Bill's nine-year-old grandson Bryce Mitchell Williams, request ALL who loved and cherished him for his many acclaimed roles, contributions and accomplishments as a wise ol' advisor, antique and oddities collector, expertly skilled craftsman and gunsmith master, first place target-shooting competitor, Range Master and event organizer of the VAFB Rod and Gun Club, Navy Serviceman, auto mechanic and machine technician, join us to view samples of Bill's collections and family memorabilia as stories are shared about "The Master," "Billy the Kid" with the brass gold heart, "the most wonderful man" and "Coolest Dad Ever" forever loved as "Toy-Bill" Tyrrell.
