Obituary
Willie Ervin Aycock of Lompoc, California, passed away Friday, September 8, 2006, in Lompoc. He was 62 years of age.
Willie was born September 24, 1943, to Elisha and Maryetta Aycock in Newnan, Georgia. After completing his education, Willie joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in various places around the world. He retired at the rank of Master Sergeant after serving 22 years. Willie came to Lompoc in 1981 and was a member of the Lompoc American Legion Post. Willie worked for Lockheed-Martin at Vandenberg Air Force Base as a logistics analyst and retired after a career of 22 years in aerospace.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 34 years, Yvonne Aycock, of Lompoc, three brothers, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be followed by private inurnment in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Newnan, Georgia.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, Lompoc, California.
