Obituary

Wray Dawson was born August 25, 1937 in Durham, North Carolina. He passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Wray was the most loving, caring husband, father and friend anyone could ever hope for. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 plus years of dedicated service. He went into the aerospace industry working for Martin Marietta also for 20 plus years.

Wray was very involved in the community. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, the Lompoc Grange as well as various other organizations. An avid woodworker he could often be found in his shop building bird houses for his many friends.

Wray is survived by his wife Margaret Dawson, son Tim his wife Theresa and son Mike as well as his grandchildren Felecia, Shannon and Taylor.

The memorial service will be on Wednesday, February 20, at 11 am at Lompoc Foursquare Church. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Wray will be sorely missed by all. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lompoc Foursquare Church.
