Ysidro Bermudez Morales, resident of La Puente, California for 67 years passed away on March 26, 2022.

Ysidro is survived by his wife, Jennie (Gonzales) Morales; his children, Albertina Morales, Guadalupe (Joe) Diaz, Fernando (Laura) Morales, Miguel Morales, Barbara (Edward) Gonzales, Leticia Morlaes;18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; siblings Merced Morales, Rick Morales and Virginia Morales. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and grandson Miguel Ysidro Morales.

Ysidro was born in February 1933, to Guadalupe and Maria Morales. He was raised in his hometown of Lompoc, California where he worked for Bodger Seeds in the flower fields until the age of 17. He then joined the Laborers Union and worked for M.D. Burke Construction for one year before being drafted in 1953 into the US Army during the Korean War. Ysidro served our country overseas and at Fort Huachuca in Arizona before being moved to the Army reserves and honorably discharged in 1961. He returned to work with M.D. Burke Construction and then in 1976 he joined Cedar Pine Construction in Whittier, California. He retired in 2004 at the age of 71.

Ysidro was a devoted husband and father. He married his hometown sweetheart, Jennie Gonzales in 1952 and they spent 70 years together. In 1955 they settled in La Puente, California and raised their six children on Homeward Street. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and feeding the local wild birds. He loved the game of baseball and was a diehard Angels fan. His biggest joy came from spending time with family, friends, meeting new people and enjoying conversations and laughter.

Ysidro's wish was to be laid to rest in his hometown of Lompoc. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In honor of him please take time to share a smile and kindness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 8th at La Purisima Church in Lompoc. Arrangements are being handled by Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, Lompoc.
