ZANE MARIE HANSEN
1945 – 2010
Zane Hansen was born to Theodore & Blanche Paumen in Harlem, Montana on May 27, 1945. She attended school in Chinook, Montana before moving to Lompoc in 1958. She graduated from Lompoc High School in 1964. Zane attended Allan Hancock College after graduation and received her CNA certificate. She worked at the Lompoc Convalescent Care Center and at the Lompoc Hospital. Zane also provided home care for the elderly for a number of years. Her total devotion to her profession and genuine love for the people in her care was beyond incredible. She was a member of the La Purisima Catholic Church.
Zane considered her greatest most rewarding accomplishment in life was her family; she loved her family. She is survived by her husband Barry of Lompoc, sons Todd (Ann) Hansen of Phoenix, Arizona, Christopher (Cindy) Hansen of Lompoc, Brandon (Sarah) Hansen of Ventura and a brother John Sadler of Mesa Arizona, 11 grandchildren; Ashley, Amber, Koltin, Cherami, Kevin, Breana, Tiana, Carolynn, Michael, Brennan, Jazmin, one great-grandson Andrew, one great-granddaughter Kylie and a host of friends and relatives.
She will always be remembered for her enormous compassion and love for the town and people of Lompoc. She was a true Lompoc icon.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday February 4, 2010 at the La Purisima Catholic Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the Lompoc District Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
